How to use a trigger injection

Many women who have regular menstrual cycles don’t actually ovulate, or release an egg. 40-50% of fertility issues are caused by lack of ovulation.  Using a trigger injection ensures, or at least increases the likelihood of ovulation. A trigger injection also increases the amount of progesterone released from the corpus luteum, and this supports the developing pregnancy.

Your trigger injection will be Ovidrel, or Ovitrelle. You must use a full dose, or 250mcg. When you are using OVUNET, we will tell you when to use a trigger injection.

Ovulation Induction Success Rates

The likelihood of success from ovulation induction varies from patient to patient, depending on their circumstances.

Normal natural conception rates, in a perfect situation, vary between 10 to 25% per ovulation. Based on results across all patients, from age 23 to 44, over a course of 4 Ovulation induction treatment cycles, our patients enjoyed a 32.8% pregnancy rate, and a Live birth rate of 26%, which is very good.

The likelihood of conceiving twins with ovulation induction in our patients is 2.5%.
